Zeal Optics GPS, Sensor-Laden Transcend Ski Goggles of the future will be on every skier and snow boarders wish list for Christmas in 2010.

Yes I realize the holidays just ended and are kind of far away, however so was the thoughts of a GPS and sensor-laden ski goggles to hit the open market. No worries because, Recon the developers of these sci-fi eye wonders and Zeal Optics are in and relabeling them Transcend and bringing them to ski slopes near you. This would be the very first GPS and sensor-laden ski goggles ever. These baby’s are capable of logging speed, altitude, temperatures and time details with a nifty side-mounted toggle switch that enables you to view said data in real time. But the coolest feature on theseĀ Ski Goggles of the future would have to be it’s cell phone compatibility , if your cellular phone has a GPS chip in it you will be able to even see where you are, where you hot little snow bunny is at and even where you are headed.

I was quite surprised to find out these futuristic goggles would only cost consumers around $350 to $400 . I will defiantly sport a pair of these kick ass goggles this next ski season, and two the guys at Zeal Optics two thumbs up, just hope they can survive a crash or two ( he,he..). Let me know in my comments if you would drop the $350 for these Ski Goggles of the future, or if you think technology has gone too far!
