Porsche’s 911 GT3 R Hybrid Future Race Car
The Porsche’s 911 GT3 R hybrid future race car has just made the hybrid racing scene a little greener and a lot faster! This new super car from Porsche opens the door to future racing car design and technology. When I read about the new Porsche 911 hybrid I was simply amazed. Many eco-friendly race fans can only hope that other racing teams like Porsche are ready to step it up when it comes to green racing ! This Porsche is capable of producing 480 hp and has a top secret weapon, kinetic stored energy that can be delivered via touch button. What you say ? That’s right sounds like something from a science fiction movie and not a subject for garage talk. Would you like to know just how this new Porsche Super car works and its secret weapon ?

Instead of the guys at Porsche making this baby rely on lithium-ion batteries, the eco-friendly race car has a flywheel generator mounted in its passenger seat that can spin up to 40,000 rpm. So the generator stores energy each time the vehicle brakes, and for 6-8 seconds afterward the driver can release a 160hp jolt of raw power with the tap of a button mounted on the steering wheel. The guys at Porsche see many advantages of this store juice, that can be used to significantly increase corner acceleration, or a quick high speed boosts across the finish line! Unfortunately this new technology is only being tested right now and is not available for street production type vehicles.

Tell me what you think about the green racing, and if you want other companies to jump on board building these futuristic super charged eco-friendly racing super cars.
Thanks for Reading!
